Katy Rickitt recently swapped her presenting role on Good Morning Britain to host the news show ITV Calendar. However, Katy, who is Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt’s wife, shared how she’d suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction in the new position.
Taking to social media earlier today, Katy shared the mishap with her followers.
For today’s news show, the presenter wore a gorgeous green shirt dress.
She paired her look with bright purple boots and her signature red cropped hair.
However, the star admitted, her green number led to some issues.
In a series of pictures, she revealed how it interacted with the green screen her co-star was using.
In one snap, she can be seen disappearing into the weather forecast.
Revealing the blunder, Katy penned: “Today @JonMitchellITV has been showing me why wearing green doesn’t bode well for the weather!!”
The presenter added an embarrassed face at the end of her tweet.
Many of her followers saw the funny side of the moment as they reacted to her images.
One penned: “Who knew that would happen!”
A second replied: “But I see you kept your head above water.”
Another joked: “Can see right through you mmmm xx.”
“Ha! I love behind the scenes stuff… x,” added a fourth.
Jon also tweeted about the moment as he shared some of the snaps.
The meteorologist penned: “I’ll have the weather forecast as usual on @itvcalendar at 6 tonight when @KatyRickittITV does a disappearing act in front of my weather map.”
Katy recently made the switch to ITV Calendar from her GMB role for the rest of the year.
She announced her exit last month as she penned an emotional goodbye on social media.
The presenter wrote: “Breaking News! Really excited to share with you that from the week after next I’m heading over to @itvcalendar to be their presenter for 6 months!
“Aside from ditching fishing waders for frocks, more importantly it is a real honour and privilege to present a show I grew up watching and to be entrusted to relay all the daily hard work of a really incredible team to a county I’ll always call home.
“For some of you it’ll mean seeing more of me, for some of you less for a while (you may need a break!) but I’ll share a link on here incase you want to tune in from outside.” (sic).
Katy then added: “To those who’ve joined me early doors thanks as always for all your support.
“Yorkshire I’m on my way! #newjob #takemebacktoyorkshire.”
